2014-2015 Season Football Review

Football 2014-2015 - A year in review

Congratulations to FC Barcelona for winning the treble!
A second treble in just a few years! Salute to Luis Enrique for being able to follow the footsteps of Pep Guardiola. Please take note that both are incredible FCB players as well.

FCB has now equaled Liverpool and Bayern Munich of becoming champions of Europe for the fifth time. They also cemented their status as the best team for the last ten years by winning 4 Champions League compared to only one each by AC Milan (2007), Manchester United (2008), Inter Milan (2010), Chelsea (2012), Bayern Munich (2013) and Real Madrid (2014). What's next for them? Probably to repeat as European Champions since no team has ever done that during the Champions League era.
Fabregas...to bad you left FCB for Chelsea. If you waited you might have completed your trophy collection. Now the Champions League still remains one of the things you have yet to win.

Xavi lifting the La Liga Trophy - the 23rd time for FCB.

Lifting the Copa del Rey for the 27th time.

Congratulations also to Sevilla for being crowned the Europa League Champions...
for a record 4th time, and amazingly they do it also within the last ten years!

As a Malaysian, I am somewhat proud since their shirt is clearly written 'Visit Malaysia'.

Congratulations to Chelsea for winning the Premier League and the League Cup!

Congratulations Arsenal for winning the FA Cup!

Wenger has now won 6 FA Cups, more than any other manager in the modern era. And Arsenal are now the outright leader in winning the FA Cup - 12th time.

Congratulations to Juventus for winning the domestic double!

I am happy for Tevez. It seems that wherever he goes, he is always on the winning side... Manchester United, Manchester City and now Juventus!

Congratulations to PSG for winning the domestic double...

It shows that money can buy trophies...at least in France. Not so in England. Look at how much Manchester City spend over the past few years and they are trophy-less this season. They couldn't even win the Community Shield.

Congratulations to Bayern Munich for winning the Bundesliga...

and to Wolfsburg for winning the German Cup.

What will happen next year?

Will FCB repeat as European Champions?

Will Jose Mourinho be the first to win the Champions League with 3 different teams?

Will Juventus, PSG, FCB complete their domestic double again?

Will Luis Enrique win more trophies at FCB compared to Pep Guardiola?

See what happens in the summer transfers and let us hear your say...
